As the need for Anti Aircraft measures increased, the idea of mobile firing platforms developed. Here we have added the 13 pdr Quick Firing Gun and 4 man crew to the heavy chassis.

This addition of the gun necessitated the removal of the cab and adaptable sides to the truck to act as the firing platform. Our model has the flexibility to be displayed in transport mode or firing mode. The metal sides are delivered separately with stays to position as a firing platform or enclosed. The QF gun has a choice of supporting arms to display in elevated or horizontal position. The ammo box to the front has a separate lid again to be displayed either open or closed. Finally, the stabilisers are removable and come with sturdy timber effect blocks to sit on.

The 4-man crew include an officer pointing and giving orders, a gun captain on the firing pin, a figure on the elevation wheel and the hapless chap taking the ammo from the locker.

Amazingly, a full crew of 10 men ( 6 being on the very crowded platform) could fire a round every 3 seconds.
